Adelphi University public affairs broadcast  to explore
costs vs. benefits in higher education

Uniondale, NY… Education costs continue to rise and Exploring Critical Issues considers the reasons as well as the consequences of student debt against higher education’s long-term value.  The program, “True Costs of Higher Education,” will air over two weeks, beginning Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 10 PM.

Exploring Critical Issues, the public affairs broadcast series conceived and hosted by Adelphi University President Dr. Robert A. Scott, presents an average of six topics a year with each hour-long program featuring Dr. Scott in conversation with expert guests from the metro New York area, who share their knowledge and insight on matters crucial to the region and our nation.

“Today’s headlines are about rising tuition rates, enormous student debt, and rampant campus inefficiencies,” said Dr. Scott.  “In this program we explore whether the current “business model” of higher education is broken, and the true costs of higher education against the benefits to society.”
Joining Dr. Scott in exploring the costs of higher education is Molloy College President Drew Bogner; Adelphi University AVP of Student Financial Services Sheryl Mihopulos; Adelphi University VP for Enrollment Management and Student Success Lauren Mounty; and Nassau Community College Acting President Kenneth Saunders.
