of Exploring Critical Issues

Uniondale, NY… Now in its 10th year, the broadcast series Exploring Critical Issues brings viewers a thought-provoking segment this December that explores Long Island’s changes and challenges. “The Future of Long Island” airs over two weeks, beginning on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 10:00 PM.

“Suburban America has been exemplified by Levittown, Long Island’s planned residential community, but times have changed and our region is required to change with them,” said Dr. Robert A. Scott, president of Adelphi University and the host of Exploring Critical Issues. “Our show takes a look at the demographics, the infrastructure, the politics and the future prospects for Long Island’s economy and populace.”

Joining Dr. Scott for a riveting discussion of Long Island government, transportation, demographics, economy and new definitions of community, are thought leaders John D. Cameron, Jr., P.E., Managing Partner, Cameron Engineering & Associates, LLP; Dr. Nancy Rauch Douzinas, President, Rauch Foundation; David Kapell, Kapell Real Estate and former Mayor of Greenport; and David L.
