Southold, NY –Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty (DGSIR), one of the nation’s leading realtors, was the listing agent for the recently closed Quawksnest, a 1896 shingle style home that was originally the anchor of a large compound on Peconic Bay. Named after the call of the night heron, Quawksnest was fully restored and featured impeccable interior design by noted New York City designer Bunny Williams. There is an original brick icehouse on the property, and the barn was converted into an office and media room. This splendid home is one of the few remaining examples of this style of summer estate on the North Fork. Daniel Gale Sotheby’s Louisa Hargrave was the listing agent.
Carol Tintle, Daniel Gale Sotheby’s SVP and Regional Sales Manager, greeted the news with great optimism for continued success. “Five years ago we launched an aggressive expansion on the East End and today Daniel Gale Sotheby’s has sales offices in Cutchogue, Mattituck, Southhold and Shelter Island. Our commitment to our clients and the North Fork community includes strategic pricing, a global reach with local expertise, and an unyielding focus on results. In 2011, Daniel Gale Sotheby’s participated in the highest residential sales for both Nassau and Suffolk Counties, and it’s terrific to begin 2012 with similar traction on the North Fork.”
