Exploring Critical Issues focuses on Religious Liberty — broadcasting in NY and CT on Cablevision 29 and 137and FiOS 296 – and streaming simultaneously at www.telecaretv.org
Uniondale, NY… Freedom of religion is one of America’s founding principles and the subject of the latest program in the broadcast series, Exploring Critical Issues. Conceived and hosted by Adelphi University President Robert A. Scott, Exploring Critical Issues “Religious Liberty” will air for two weeks, beginning November 18, 2012.
“Since the Pilgrims came to our shores, America has upheld religious liberty – that every individual has the right to practice his or her own beliefs without restricting that freedom for others,” said Dr. Scott. “Our program explores how this founding principle is balanced against today’s complex public policies.”
Joining Dr. Scott for this look at humanity’s pursuit of religious liberty in America and around the world, are guests: Dr. Hussein Rashid, Associate Editor, Religious Dispatches; The Reverend Lynn Sullivan, Associate Minister, Garden City Community Church; Dr. Richard Dina, Senior Consultant, Adelphi University’s Center for Nonprofit Leadership; and Rabbi Dr. Barry Dov Schwartz, Chaplain, Nassau County Police Department, Mercy Medical Center and Adelphi University.
“Religious Liberty” airs over two weeks this November in New York and Connecticut on Cablevision 29 (Long Island) and 137 (CT and NY area outside of Long Island), FiOS 296 (NY and Fairfield, CT), and streaming simultaneously at www.telecaretv.org on airdates and times as follows:
