John Zervopoulos, an associate with Salenger, Sack, Kimmel & Bavaro, LLP (SSK&B) and the managing attorney of the firm’s Woodbury, New York office has been named to the Board of Directors for the Nassau Suffolk Trial Lawyers Association.
An experienced attorney who has brought numerous cases to successful resolution, John Zervopoulos has particular insight into the issues that shape the judicial system. Representing close to 400 Long Island litigators, the Nassau Suffolk Trial Lawyers Association has worked for more than 60 years in the legislative, political and media arenas to ensure that Long Islanders know and understand the importance of their rights to justice and that these rights are safeguarded and protected.
In addition to his private practice representing victims of personal injury, John serves as a volunteer Arbitrator for Queens County Civil Court and resolves all claims regarding personal injury, negligence, contractual disputes, corporate and commercial liability, consumer transactions, property damage and landlord-tenant disputes. He is an active member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and Hellenic Lawyers Association of New York. Fluent in Greek, John participates in programs for the Greek community and is actively involved in fundraising activities to award scholarships to students pursuing law careers. He is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association, Suffolk County Bar Association, Queens County Bar Association and New York City Trial Lawyers Association.
A cum laude graduate of Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus, John earned his J.D. from Hofstra Law School. He is admitted to the Bar in New York, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York and the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
