Partners with The LIincs Organization As Founding Corporate Sponsor
Bethpage, NY – Bethpage Federal Credit Union announces its partnership with The LIincs Organization, an emerging professional development association of young professionals on Long Island. As Founding Corporate Sponsor, Bethpage will work with LIincs to give a voice Long Island’s next generation of professionals as it advocates for important issues, navigates business channels and expands social opportunities.
As a part of its commitment, Bethpage Federal Credit Union will host career development programs, networking events, panel discussions and a variety of other professional events and services.
“Long Island’s young business professionals are a highly talented and motivated group of individuals that represent the future of Long Island,” said Linda Armyn, Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy, Bethpage Federal Credit Union. “It’s vital that we supply these individuals with the tools they need to thrive professionally on Long Island while succeeding in all of their business endeavors. Bethpage is looking forward to providing LIincs with the necessary tools and strategy it needs to succeed.”
Founding LIincs members have developed an organizational blueprint that focuses on economic, governmental, environmental and social issues on Long Island. With the assistance of its partners, the organization will offer seminars to members that focus on hands-on topics such as “how to get the job you want,” and “how local government works.”
“We are very thankful to Bethpage for their full support of the LIincs mission. As a community financial institution, Bethpage is a great advocate of Long Island’s business community and that includes the individuals who empower the organizations and help fuel the economy. We are thrilled to have their support in this endeavor,” said LIincs President Lou Imbroto.
Founded in 2014, LIincs is an association of young professionals ages 22-35, dedicated to bridging the economic, governmental, social and environmental sectors of Long Island. LIincs gives a voice to the next generation of Long Island as it advocates for important issues, navigates business channels and expands social opportunities.
“Long Island’s young professionals need to see the region as a place where they can establish their roots, both personally and professionally,” said Tara Bono, LIincs Vice President. “But you can’t simply plant some seeds and hope the roots will grow. An organization like LIincs will provide the much-needed nurturing, support and education to ensure the roots grow strong and true.”
LIincs Executive Director and Founder Michael Watt said, “LIincs members will work with each other and other Long Island seasoned executives to enhance the LIincs’ members’ employability and leadership skills. Our members will be encouraged to incorporate themselves in their communities and pursue opportunities for self- employment, attend educational seminars, and earn advanced professional degrees. Together, we will work hard, give back to the community and have a good time.”
