Christine Petersen Recruited from Sotheby’s International Realty in London
Cold Spring Harbor, NY – Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty (DGSIR), one of the nation’s leading realtors, has welcomed Christine Petersen as its Vice President of National and International Relocation. The appointment was announced by Daniel Gale Sotheby’s President and CEO Patricia J. Petersen.
Christine joins DGSIR from United Kingdom Sotheby’s International Realty in London, where she headed the International Referrals and Relocation department, traveling extensively and building relationships with owners and referring agents around the world. While her significant background in real estate also includes tenure with The Halstead Company in New York City as a top sales agent, Christine would have to credit her early training to her mother, Patricia.
“Christine was exposed to real estate from a young age,” recalls her mother, herself a former Relocation Director for Daniel Gale Sotheby’s, “but her skills derive from her keen interest in people and places, her drive and her ability to communicate with and understand the needs of her clients.”
Daniel Gale Sotheby’s Relocation Division has long set an industry standard for excellence, receiving multiple awards over the years, most recently under the direction of Marie Montchal, who is retiring from her position as SVP of relocation and ancillary services.
“While we conducted an industry-wide search for someone to lead the Relocation Division, we found the best candidate in Christine,” explains Ms. Montchal. “Her hands-on approach to the global marketplace will be invaluable to the continuation of a tradition of excellence. Her network of referral contacts make her one of the foremost experts in international relocation.”
Founded in 1922, Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty consistently leads the nation in achieving one of the highest average sales prices in the country. DGSIR is a $1.8 billion dollar plus organization with close to 600 sales associates in 21 sales offices spanning Long Island. Services include a Relocation Division, an award-winning Marketing & Technology Department, a newly-formed Development Marketing Group, Commercial and Rental Divisions; Ambassador Abstract title company, and a Wells Fargo Home Mortgage affiliation. The Sotheby’s International Realty® affiliate for Long Island’s North Shore since 1976, DGSIR has gained national and international recognition, including top honors worldwide.
