Q&A with Kathleen Caputi
Senior Vice President
What was your “finest moment” at Epoch5 to date?
My finest professional moment was writing and producing “Welcome Aboard,” an 85th anniversary coffee table book for Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty. It demanded the most of my talents and time, and gave back so much more. It was a deeply satisfying and rewarding experience.
What makes a great brand?
In my niche, which is professional service firms, the people and their expertise are the brand. I help grow the brand through media placements, presenting my clients as thought leaders and distinctive personalities.
What talent do you wish you had?
Although I have a pretty good voice, I would love to be able to sing like one of the greats. Singing makes me feel terrific.
What frustrates you the most?
Waiting on people to do what I can do myself. I don’t delegate very well. I’ve got to work on that.
What do you do for a good time when you’re not working?
I’m the one my friends call when they need a companion for something offbeat and off hours — something no one else would agree to. I loathe having to say no to an adventure. I love live music, singing, dancing, the arts, yoga, outdoor activities, and being with friends and family — but I also enjoy time to myself.
What attracted you to Epoch 5?
A brilliant leader, and the firm’s reputation for integrity, professionalism and excellence. A great working environment with outstanding colleagues and clients keeps me here.
